Terms of Service

Last updated: October 10, 2026
The short version: TuneDoc gives you automated, AI-generated observations about your datalog. It can be wrong. It is not a tuner, a mechanic, or professional advice. Any change you make to your car or its calibration is your decision and your responsibility. We save the datalogs, tune files and reports you submit and use them to run and improve TuneDoc. The full terms below are what actually apply.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TuneDoc ("TuneDoc," "we," "us," or "our"), which operates the website at tunedoc.io (the "Service"). By using the Service, or by checking the box agreeing to these Terms when you submit a datalog, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.

2. What TuneDoc is

TuneDoc is an automated tool. You upload a datalog exported from your engine management system, optionally upload the tune file that was on your vehicle, and enter details about your vehicle, and TuneDoc uses software, including third-party artificial intelligence ("AI") models, to produce a written report with observations, possible causes, and areas you may want to look at (a "Report"). Reports are generated by machines, not reviewed by a person, and are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

3. Not professional advice

Reports are not professional tuning, mechanical, engineering, legal, or safety advice, and using TuneDoc does not create any professional or advisory relationship. Reports, including any suggested settings, tables, directions, or step sizes, are starting points for your own investigation. Before making any change to your vehicle, its hardware, or its calibration, you should verify it yourself and, where appropriate, have it reviewed by a qualified EFI calibration professional or mechanic.

4. Reports can be wrong

AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or misleading, and may describe problems that do not exist or miss problems that do. The quality of a Report also depends on the datalog and the vehicle information you provide, the sensors installed on your vehicle, and how the data was recorded. We do not guarantee that any Report is accurate, complete, or suitable for your vehicle or purpose.

5. Your responsibility and assumption of risk

Modifying, tuning, testing, and driving a vehicle involve real risks, including engine and drivetrain damage, fire, loss of vehicle control, property damage, personal injury, and death. You are solely responsible for:

You knowingly and voluntarily assume all of these risks.

6. Laws and emissions

Many modifications discussed in the aftermarket EFI world may be illegal on vehicles driven on public roads, including under federal, state, and local emissions laws (for example, EPA and CARB rules). TuneDoc does not determine whether your vehicle or any change is legal where you live. You are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your vehicle and its use.

7. Your data

When you use the Service, we collect and store:

When you visit any TuneDoc page, we also keep a simple visit count: the page, the time, the same anonymized fingerprint, your approximate location at the city level (worked out on our own server from your IP address using the DB-IP database, without sending your address to anyone else), the website that linked you to us (its domain only), and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. We use this only to understand how many people use TuneDoc and where they are. It does not use cookies.

We use this information to provide the Service, generate Reports, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve TuneDoc, including improving how we analyze datalogs. To do this, your data is processed by service providers we use to operate TuneDoc, including our hosting, database and storage providers, and the AI provider that generates Reports. We do not sell your personal information. Some information, such as your garage and saved reports, may also be stored in your own web browser.

When you upload a tune file, TuneDoc reads only the settings it can confirm against your datalog and uses them as context for your Report. TuneDoc does not modify your tune file and does not create tune files for you. Reading a tune file is an automated process that may be incomplete or inaccurate; always verify any setting in the Holley software before relying on it.

Do not include personal information you do not want stored, such as your name, address, or vehicle identification number, in vehicle or log names or in your answers about how your vehicle drives. To ask us to delete data associated with a Report, contact us with its Report ID; we will make reasonable efforts to honor the request, but some information may remain in backups for a limited time.

8. License to your content

You keep ownership of the datalogs, tune files and information you submit ("Your Content"). You confirm that you have the right to submit Your Content, and you grant TuneDoc a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to store, copy, process, analyze, and create derivative works from Your Content to operate, provide, and improve the Service, including in anonymized or aggregated form. We will not publish Your Content in a way that identifies you without your permission.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse the Service or interfere with how it works; upload files that contain malware or are not genuine datalogs; try to get around usage limits, access the Service through automated means, or scrape it; reverse engineer the Service or attempt to extract its prompts, models, or source code; use the Service to build a competing product; or use the Service for anything unlawful. We may limit, suspend, or block access for any of these.

10. Our property

The Service, including its software, design, text, analysis methods, and branding, belongs to TuneDoc and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, you may use your Reports for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing them with your tuner, mechanic, or online communities.

11. Third-party names and services

Holley, Terminator X, HP Tuners, VCM Scanner, Ford, GM, and other product and company names mentioned on the Service are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility. TuneDoc is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. The Service relies on third-party services, and we are not responsible for their availability or performance.

12. Paid features

TuneDoc may offer paid features, such as report credits, in the future. Any prices, refund terms, and credit terms will be shown at the time of purchase and will form part of these Terms. If TuneDoc permanently shuts down the Service, we will give reasonable notice and refund the value of any unused paid credits.

13. No warranties

The Service and all Reports are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any Report will be accurate or will identify or fix any problem.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TuneDoc and its owners, operators, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any damage to vehicles, engines, or other property, personal injury, loss of use, lost profits, or lost data, arising out of or related to the Service or any Report, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid TuneDoc in the twelve months before the claim arose or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50).

Some places do not allow certain of these limitations, so some of them may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TuneDoc and its owners and operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, Your Content, any change made to a vehicle based on a Report, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

16. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also limit the number of Reports or follow-up questions available.

17. Ending your use

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Service or others. Sections 3 through 8, 10, 11, and 13 through 21 continue to apply after your use ends.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Each time you submit a datalog you agree to the version in effect at that time.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

20. General

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and TuneDoc about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce any part is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them in connection with a sale or reorganization of the Service.
